Late Week Storm

Summary

A relative break in the pattern is occurring Thursday morning, following heavy snow totals from Monday through Wednesday. The break will be short-lived as the next storm arrives Thursday afternoon and continues through Saturday. Whistler’s upper mountain and higher elevations in the North/Central Columbias will see the heaviest snow from this next storm, but high snow levels will result in rain for the lower mountains of many areas on Friday. Much colder air will arrive on Saturday with additional light to moderate snow and falling snow levels. Another storm will arrive on Sunday with low snow levels, moderate snow for the Coast Range, and light snow for the Interior. Next week is looking active with another storm arriving Monday-Tuesday and additional storms expected through the remainder of the week. Temperatures will be on the colder side next week as well, resulting in low snow levels. The upper mountain of Whistler will experience the deepest conditions on Friday, with continually improving conditions on Saturday and Sunday with additional moderate snow amounts and snow levels down to the base area. Interior areas will see the best snow conditions on Friday morning before snow levels rise, with improving conditions later Saturday and Sunday as snow levels drop.
