Stormy pattern returns Sunday night

Summary

Most of the major ski areas in British Columbia are closed for the season in order to fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus, with only three areas remaining open as of March 21st. Conditions will remain dry through the weekend, except along the BC/Alberta border (Continental Divide), where a system will bring light to moderate snow from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. The pattern will turn more active over the upcoming week, with the first storm bringing snow to Southern BC from Sunday night through Tuesday night, with the heaviest snow expected on Monday. After a break for most areas on Wednesday, another storm will bring more snow on Thursday and Friday with additional storms likely to follow.
