Fresh snow Wednesday, some surprises

Summary

Snow began late on Tuesday night and an intense band dropped 3-6 inches on far western areas by Wednesday morning. Additional snow will fall on Wednesday, though the forecast is complex (see below). Thursday will be mostly dry with maybe some soft turns in the morning, then the next system will favor the southern mountains from late Thursday into Friday. After that, a new storm will arrive just before New Years and it should bring light snow to most mountains.
