New Years powder, deepest in the south

Summary

Snow fell on Sunday night and now the snow reports on Monday morning show a few inches across the state with Steamboat winning so far at 6-9 inches. On Monday expect more snow showers with the best accumulations around Purgatory and Wolf Creek in the south, and these areas will be favored through Tuesday as well with snow totals likely well over 12 inches. Wednesday through Saturday will be dry, then the next storm should bring snow on Sunday and Monday (January 6-7).
