Friday’s storm is on track

Summary

Thursday transitioned from cloudy with a little bit of new snow in the morning to sunny and beautiful during the late afternoon. Now on Friday morning, the next storm is already bringing flakes to the southern mountains and the other mountains should see snow squalls starting Friday midday and lasting through Friday night. By Saturday morning when the storm ends, snow totals should be 10+ inches for some southern mountains, average about 5 inches across the northern and central mountains, and maybe up to 10 inches in a few non-southern mountains as well. The best powder should be on Friday in the southern mountains and on Saturday morning for all mountains. Then we’ll see about five days of dry weather with the next storm on schedule for Thursday and Friday (March 19-20).
