Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Tuesday was dry and temperatures rose to the upper 20s to low 30s. The skies were sunny and beautiful all day.

From Wednesday through Saturday we will see this dry and warm weather continue. On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will top out in the low-to-mid 30s each day and skies should be mostly sunny. On Friday and Saturday, temperatures will likely climb into the 40s and we should see more clouds filter the sunshine in advance of the next storm.

Then we’ll see three chances for snow.

The first storm should bring precipitation on Sunday, March 8. This will be a warm system with raindrops possible at the base and snow for most of the mountain.

The second storm could bring snow from Monday, March 9 to Tuesday, March 10. The best-case scenario is that a colder storm will keep the snow going for 24-48 hours and we could see a fun powder day. The worst-case scenario is that this colder storm will miss us to the north and we’ll see mostly dry weather. Different forecast models show different outcomes, so we’ll need to wait another few days to know if Monday and Tuesday will be snowy.

The third storm should bring precipitation from Thursday, March 12 to Friday, March 13. As with the first storm, this will be a warmer system with the potential for raindrops at the base and snow across the rest of the mountain.

In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful weather this week and don’t forget to apply sunscreen:-)
