Update

Friday was a mixed day with times of sunshine, clouds, and a late afternoon intense snow squall. Additional light snow showers moved through overnight as well.

Saturday morning’s snow total is 2 inches at the mid-mountain snow stake, with most of this snow falling after lifts closed on Friday afternoon. This means that there should be some untracked snow to enjoy now on Saturday morning.

From Saturday through Wednesday, we will see dry weather as the next storm will stall near California and will not arrive here in Colorado until later next week. In the meantime, expect each day to bring high temperatures in the 30s to low 40s (comfortable). We’ll likely see more clouds on Saturday into Sunday, maybe more sunshine on Monday, then back to more clouds during the middle of the week.

Wednesday night through Friday will be our next chance for snow. The storm over California will finally move to the east and bring snow to our skies. My initial estimate is that Thursday, March 19th could be our best chance for powder, though if the storm slows just a touch more, the best snow could be on Friday, March 20th.

In addition to the weather forecast, I am sure that COVID-19 is on your mind, and here is the latest information from Copper Mountain: https://www.coppercolorado.com/culture/our-community/covid19-updates
