On Monday, we saw a mix of sun, clouds, and snowflakes with minimal accumulation. Temperatures were cold, in the single digits. Then on Monday night, we picked up a dusting to 1 inch of snow across the mountain.

Tuesday will be the final calm-ish day before we enter the next storm cycle. We could see a mix of dry weather and light snow during the day with low-end accumulations. The high temperature will be in the teens.

Wednesday will offer 2-5+ inches of snow from Tuesday night through Wednesday midday, and there is a chance for higher totals as some forecast models show a narrow band of intense snow setting up near or just north of the mountain. Temperatures will be in the single digits.

Thursday will likely bring another 2-4+ inches of snow with the flakes falling on Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will once again be in the single digits.

Friday will likely bring more snow. How much? I don't know. Maybe 1-4+ inches. We'll be in a stormy pattern with waves of storm energy and moisture moving across northern Colorado, so it's more likely than not that we'll see more snow. Temperatures will be in the single digits.

Saturday and Sunday will bring more snow with 10-20+ inches of accumulation. We will also see slightly warming temperatures and gusty winds, so the new snow could be a little more dense compared to the previous days. Temperatures will be a little warmer with highs in the teens. Be mindful that holiday crowds and the new snow will create challenging driving conditions.

Monday and Tuesday might bring more fluffy snow, or the storm could wind down. I'm not sure yet. Keep your eye on these days as they could be sensational powder days with fluff-on-soft conditions, but also, remember that the forecast will change and it'll take at least a few more days to dial in the details.

In the longer range, there will be more chances for snow after Tuesday, January 16, but for now, we'll focus on the upcoming one-week storm cycle!
