The Next 10+ Days

More terrain is open, the Rendezvous and Sierra lifts will open today (Friday, November 29), and the Woodward Express lift is scheduled to open on Monday, December 2. Woohoo!

Friday will be sunny and cool with morning temperatures close to 0°F on the mountain (warmer up top, colder down low) and an afternoon high in the low 20s.

Saturday and Sunday will also be mostly sunny and dry with a high temperature in the mid-20s.

Then each day next week will be dry, mostly sunny, and a bit warmer with a high temperature in the low 30s.

We will be on the dry side of the weather pattern for the next week or so, and while the east coast of the United States sees cold temperatures and snow, our next chances for snow will wait until around December 9-10 and again around December 13-14.

The good news is that we have a solid base, the low sun angle of early December will help to preserve our snowpack, and more terrain should open over the coming days and weeks.

Looking far ahead, the longer-range forecast models continue to show a flip toward a cooler and stormier weather pattern over the western half of the United States during the second half of December. Let's hope that this is correct!
