Monday Recap
On Monday, skies were partly cloudy as storm energy tracked just to the north of Colorado. The high temperature was in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Tuesday (March 25)
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high temperature in the low 40s.
Wednesday (March 26)
Wednesday will be sunny and very warm, with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
Thursday (March 27)
Thursday will also be mostly sunny and very warm, with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
Friday (March 28)
As the next storm approaches, Friday will bring more clouds and will also be a bit cooler, with a high temperature in the low to mid-40s.
Longer Range
From Saturday, March 29, through Saturday, April 5, waves of storm energy will track eastward into Colorado from time to time.
My best estimate for the timing of this storm energy and resulting snowfall is:
- Saturday & Sunday (March 29-30): There will likely be low-to-moderate snow accumulation on Saturday and Sunday, with a higher chance for snow on Sunday.
- Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday (March 31 - April 2): Additional snow is likely with low-to-moderate accumulation.
- Thursday to Saturday (April 3-5): A stronger storm is possible.
Overall, I have low confidence in the timing and strength of any of these storms, but the main point is that winter isn't over just yet, and the last few days of March and the first 5+ days of April should bring multiple periods of snow and colder weather.
