Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Snow has accumulated during 10 of the previous 11 days, and there was another one inch on the snow stake at 5am Friday morning.

A slow-moving storm will move to the south of Colorado from Friday through Monday (January 16) and this storm track is not favorable for heavy snow at Copper. Instead, for the next three or four days, I expect a mix of sun, clouds, and occasional light-to-moderate snow showers. A bit of snow accumulation is not out of the question, but the snowfall should not be significant. Instead, enjoy the sunshine and great visibility … we could use a bit of a break in the snow after the amazing storm cycle of the last two weeks.

The break in the snow should continue through next Wednesday (January 18), and then a series of storms will bring snow back to Copper from Thursday January 19 through Tuesday January 24th. It’s too early to know the track and intensity of these storms, so stay tuned as we try to figure out when we can expect the next powder day!
