Update

It’s appropriate that Groundhog Day is this Thursday, February 2nd because the weather this week is just like the movie “Groundhog Day” – each new day will be similar to the previous day. On Tuesday, expect partly-to-mostly sunny skies and midday temperatures rising to the low-to-mid 30s.

The weather on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will likely be similar, though there might be a few more clouds and even a snow flurry as moisture to our north sags toward Colorado.

The next chance for steady snow will occur on Saturday when a weakening storm should bring 2-4 or 3-6 inches of snow to Copper. This should put a nice refresh on the groomers.

After this, the atmosphere will take a break on Sunday with dry weather, and then we will likely see a few days of snow between late Monday and early Thursday (February 9th). It’s too soon to know exact snow amounts, but there is a pretty good chance that Tuesday and/or Wednesday (February 7-8) could be significant powder days. Stay tuned!
