Update

Friday’s weather was sunny with a high temperature between 30-40F, and we should see the same on Saturday. Enjoy the sunshine, the spring-like warmth, and the soft midday snow (once the sun does its thing on the harder surface this morning). The only hiccup on Saturday might be a few wind gusts near the summit during the afternoon.

On Sunday, we’ll see a few more clouds and the wind will be stronger near the summit during the middle of the day and afternoon with gusts between 20-40mph. Expect a few showers late on Sunday, and then a period of heavy snow will hit Copper between Sunday at midnight and Monday at noon. Snow accumulation during this time should be in the 3-6 inch range, with a few snow showers lingering through Monday evening. If you’re seeking powder, plan to ski on Monday morning!

The rest of next week (Tuesday through Friday) will be dry, and then there is a good chance that snow will return during the weekend of March 11-12 with the possibility of a few more storms during the week of March 13-17.
