The cold front arrived on Monday night and delivered 2-10 inches for the resorts along the I-70 mountain corridor. The big winner so far has been Keystone:

We'll now continue to receive heavy snow through Tuesday morning as the storm rotates through Colorado. Northwest winds will keep the snow machine cranking through midday Tuesday but much drier air filtering in on Tuesday afternoon will almost certainly shut everything off by Tuesday evening. In total, look for an additional 3-6 inches through Tuesday afternoon.

Clearing skies and cold temps follow through Tuesday night.

Dry weather and cool temps continue on Wednesday and into Thursday. Expect sunny skies on Wednesday and increasing cloud coverage through midday Thursday

We'll then be watching Thursday evening and into Friday morning for our next chance for snow. This storm continues to look like it will split and only provide us with anywhere from a dusting to 1-3 inches.

Dry weather quickly follows by the second half of Friday and continues into early next week.

Travel Forecast

Slow travel speeds will be encountered through Tuesday morning due to heavy snow and icy / snow-packed road surfaces. Please make sure to have snow tires if you're traveling along the corridor through Tuesday morning.

The sun should then peek out by Tuesday afternoon but I would still expect icy and snow-packed conditions to continue through Tuesday night.

Clear and mostly dry road surfaces will return by Wednesday morning. Expect normal travel speeds and dry road surfaces from Wednesday morning through midday Thursday.

Another round of light snow arriving on Thursday night and into Friday will likely provide us with wet and icy road surfaces, though I don't believe this storm will have much of an impact on travel.

Normal travel speeds and dry road surfaces will return on Saturday, November 28th, and continue through Monday, November 30th.

Looking ahead to the first 10 days of December, we will first be watching for a quick-moving storm around Tuesday, December 1st. There is still zero agreement in the global models so we'll need a few more days to see how this one shapes up.

We'll then have to wait as our weather pattern looks mild and dry through the next 7-10 days of December. There are signs for a more active second half of the month so stay tuned as we continue to monitor this closely.
