All eyes on next week

Summary

Mild and dry conditions continue from Wednesday, December 1 through Monday, December 6. Our next round of snow will then arrive on Tuesday, December 7, followed by another shot for snow and cold around Saturday, December 11. Active weather could continue into the second half of December.

Gorgeous weather will continue through the rest of the week and into the upcoming weekend. Expect daytime highs to climb into the 40s on the mountains, with overnight lows hovering in the upper 20s.

We could then receive a few flakes and cooler temps on Sunday, December 5 but overall, we'll remain mostly dry through Monday, December 6. Look for temps in the 20s on Sunday and into Monday.

Travel Forecast

Dry road surfaces and normal travel speeds will continue through Monday, December 6.

Outside of normal weekend travel, expect normal travel speeds and no weather-related impacts over the weekend of December 4/5.

Our next chance for weather-related travel impacts will arrive on Tuesday, December 7. Expect icy and snow-packed road surfaces, along with slower travel speeds into Wednesday, December 8.

Extended Forecast

Our full attention is now on Tuesday, December 7 as the models continue to show good news in regards to our next round of snow. As of now, we should be looking at a healthy dose of snowfall thanks to abundant moisture and cold temps.

Following a break from Wednesday, December 8 through Friday, December 10, we could then see another good chance for significant snowfall around Saturday, December 11. So yes, continue to stay patient and we should see the snow machine crank back up as we head into December.
