Light snow, partly sunny on Friday; Burst of snow coming Saturday

Summary

Skiers/riders will enjoy a few inches of new snow that fell overnight to freshen conditions on Friday. A slight chance of snow early on Friday will give way to sunshine in the afternoon statewide. Several inches of new snow are forecast at Pomerelle, Magic Mountain and Pebble Creek today. And then a quick-moving storm system is forecast to drop 3-6 inches of new snow Friday night/Saturday at N. Idaho ski areas and at Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort. Other S. Idaho ski areas could get a few inches out of that system. Schweitzer could get a max of 11 inches from that storm cycle. Skies are forecast to clear on Sunday in Southern Idaho and for MLK holiday on Monday. Enjoy the 3-day weekend!
