More snow coming all week in Idaho!

Summary

An atmospheric river system will continue to deliver fresh snow at Schweitzer, Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass on Wednesday through the weekend, with 3-7 inches expected today and tonight. A few inches of fresh snow fell overnight statewide for a nice soft turning surface on Wednesday. Brundage Mountain is forecast to receive 3-6 inches Wednesday/Wednesday night, while Tamarack, Bogus Basin and Pebble Creek are forecast to receive 1-3 inches Wednesday night. A continuous parade of storms will dump fresh snow every day through the weekend in the northern half of the state, from Tamarack and Brundage to the north, while unseasonably warm temperatures move through Southern Idaho as the week progresses, potentially affecting snowfall.

Short Term Forecast

Northern Idaho ski resorts will continue to get fresh snow every day through the week, with a potential mix of rain/snow on Thursday morning. Schweitzer is forecast to get 6-10 inches of new snow on Thursday night/Friday, and Silver and Lookout Pass may get 2-6 inches.

A similar forecast is projected for Brundage Mountain and Tamarack, with a few inches of new snow coming every day through Sunday, with a slight break in the action on Thursday.

Sunshine is forecast at Sun Valley on Wednesday and Thursday, with a chance of snow Friday-Sunday. Similar forecasts are projected at Pomerelle and Magic Mountain, while Pebble Creek should get some fresh snow Wednesday night Thursday, with 2-4 inches expected.

Extended Forecast
