More Snow Coming Right Up

Summary

After a couple day reprieve, we’re going to be back in the mix for some more snow as a broad trough of low pressure will keep us in cold, northwest flow. This time the snow will be “right side up”, not as wet and heavy, but light blower powder for a change with snow levels at base elevations. Sunday through Tuesday will be the first round and I’m expecting that Schweitzer and Brundage Mountain will see 16 to 24” of snow by Tuesday. Tamarack and Bogus Basin pile up a 3-day total of 12 to 16” and Sun Valley 8 to 12”. Light to moderate snow will continue in the panhandle and central mountains through next weekend when another strong wave moves in for more snow. It will be breezy on Monday and next weekend, but not as extreme as the storm over central and southern Idaho this week.
