Mammoth forecast
Summary
The Eastern Sierra is bracing for yet another Atmospheric River event. Number 8 since early October! This is as powerful as some of the strongest this year. That is because of its duration that is expected to last a good 24 hours. As of 5:00PM Sunday it was snowing in Mammoth with the temperature right at 33 degrees. There is a dusting of snow on the ground at the 8200 foot level. The California River Forecast Center in Sacramento is forecasting 3-5 inches of water equivalent by Tuesday p.m, which equates to multiple feet of snow.
