Summary
Brief rain and snow showers affect areas to the north of the central Mid-Atlantic Monday morning. Northwest winds move into the region during the afternoon Monday, developing lake-effect snow that will affect areas near the Great Lakes until Tuesday afternoon. Dry weather returns Wednesday with the next major storm system moving into the region Thursday and Friday to kick off the New Year.
