Montana Daily Snow
By Bob Ambrose, Forecaster Posted 7 years ago December 1, 2016
Potent storm looming for the weekend
Summary
A classic Northwest flow has been over the Northern Rockies since Monday. Today (Thurs) snow will continue with locally light to moderate accumulations across most of Montana's mountain regions. Friday will bring short lived high-pressure before being pushed out of the way by an advancing upper level trough coming out of BC with frigid arctic air. This trough will combine with a moist Pacific jet stream for what looks like our biggest storm of the year so far for Saturday thru Monday. Cold air will dominate next week as will snow showers and the potential for another big event toward the end of next week.
