Montana Daily Snow
By Bob Ambrose, Forecaster Posted 7 years ago February 13, 2017
Sunny and Warm Days thru mid-week then a change…
Summary
An upper-level ridge of high-pressure will dominate the mountain regions on both sides of the Divide thru Wednesday night. The high-pressure flattens out on the West side starting Wednesday night when a warm front approaching on a southwesterly flow will provide light snow, but mainly above 6000’. The East side will see this same front on Thursday morning but mainly to the south around Big Sky and perhaps Maverick in the Southwest areas of the region. Both weather models agree on another storm arriving Saturday with another wave Sunday into Monday. The Euro model thinks this upper-level low will be a major storm while the GFS is more conservative in the storms strength. We’re rooting for the Euro solution no doubt but will be checking them daily through the week.
