Summary
A low pressure, off the coast, will slip to the south, allowing a high-pressure ridge to nose into the Pacific Northwest. The ridge will produce dry weather for the week ahead by blocking storms. The ridge will break down a little later in the weekend.
Short Term Forecast
This week will see partly to mostly sunny skies on the ski slopes. It will be chilly in the morning, but daytime temperatures will warm to the mid 20’s to maybe 32 degrees. On Thursday a very weak system moves by with a few clouds, but almost no snow. Also, another weather disturbance, may brush us late in the weekend, causing a few more clouds and a trace of snowfall on Sunday.

Extended Forecast
The weekend is uncertain at his point, but more clouds and a chance of a little snow is possible, late in the weekend. Snowfall on Sunday looks minimal. A more active pattern could develop next week, but models show high uncertainty. I see no moderate to large snowstorms possible for the NW in the next 5-7 days.
