Maybe Some Rain Showers Next Week?

Summary

For the first time in many, many months, the OpenSnow powder finder is showing no snow for the next ten days for the resort in Chile and Argentina. I guess this really means the season is coming to an end. Still though, there's an outside chance for powder at Corralco and in the backcountry around the 21st.

Short Term Forecast

Below is the OpenSnow powder finder. You can sort it by country or state and see where the snow will be falling in the next ten days. When I checked today, there was nothing, as shown below.

The last time there were no resorts showing up on this list was sometime in May. This is what the settings look like.

As a reminder, here is what it looked like in mid August amidst that massive storm cycle.

Overall, conditions will be pleasant for the next week. We will see clear or partly cloudy skies most the time, with temperatures warming above freezing each day. This will be a good chance to get some spring turns at Corralco.

The only other noteworthy thing to mention is that the models are showing a large storm around the 21st, with some cold air. If this materializes, you may have the chance for one more powder day at Corralco or in the backcountry. I will keep posting to keep you updated on that.
