Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
As of Friday morning, the storm is over at Steamboat and you’ll find mostly sunny skies and a temperature of about 5-10F to start the day. The recent storm dropped 12 inches of snow early on Thursday morning, with an additional 2 inches on Thursday evening after lifts closed (these numbers are via the summit snow stake camera). That makes a storm total of 14 inches. All of this should translate to soft turns on Friday morning – dress warmly and enjoy!
On Friday night, we might see a few light snow showers as a weak storm passes to our north, though accumulations should be minimal.
Saturday and Sunday should be dry, mostly sunny, and warmer with high temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s.
The next storm will likely bring clouds, windy weather, and a chance for steady snow on Monday afternoon and early evening, then I expect a period of more intense snow on Monday night. It’s likely that you’ll find 5-10 inches of snow for Tuesday first chair, and Tuesday is my pick for the best powder day next week.
After that system, we have a low-to-moderate chance for snow next Friday and Saturday, and after that, I do not know exactly when we’ll see the next storm. Don’t despair, though, as the weather pattern will be stormy in the western US through at least early March, so we will see more storms, I just lack confidence about when exactly we will see the next storm here in Colorado.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
