Update

Wednesday’s weather offered snow showers through the day, with brief breaks and also times of more intense snow.

Following Wednesday's snow, there was additional snow on Wednesday night, and the final verdict on Thursday morning is about 8 inches at the Summit snow stake and about 7 inches at the official mid-mountain snow stake. About 5-6 of these inches happened before lifts closed on Wednesday afternoon, so most of this snow will be tracked with some freshies on top for Thursday morning.

For the rest of Thursday, expect more clouds than sunshine and snow showers throughout the day, likely resulting in a few inches of accumulation by Thursday evening. This should keep the groomers soft through Friday morning.

Friday and Saturday should be dry, then from Saturday night through next Thursday the storm track will be just to the north of Colorado, and at times it will dip to the south and likely bring chances for snow to Steamboat. I have very low confidence about when this snow could occur, with an initial thought of Sunday, Tuesday into Wednesday, and next Thursday. I likely won’t have much confidence until each system is within 24-36 hours of arriving, and, fair warning, if each storm stays just a bit further north, snow could disappear from the forecast.

After that, there’s a chance for a significant storm sometime around April 7-10th.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
