Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

Freshies on Thursday morning!

The first part of the storm came through as expected on Wednesday afternoon and evening with about 6 inches falling by 8 pm. Then the Steamboat magic happened with an additional 5-6 inches accumulating late on Wednesday evening, and this second round of snow was not well forecast by any model, and by the look of the snow stake cam and other sensors, this 'bonus' snow is super light and fluffy. Enjoy the 11-12 inches of freshies on Thursday morning!

Thursday through the weekend

Expect dry and warmer weather with highs in the upper 20s and low 30s from Friday through the weekend. There might be a light shower at some point on Saturday.

Next week (December 17-21)

We might see a few showers around Tuesday, December 18 and then there is a slightly better chance for snow later in the week, around Thursday and Friday, December 20-21.

After December 21st

I have low confidence in the forecast for the end of December. Some models and factors indicate that we’ll see a return to stormy weather while other signs point to less of a chance for snow. I’m just not sure, and this lack of confidence is typical of forecasts that look out 10-15 days into the future!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
