Update

Tuesday

There is fresh powder this morning thanks to the final wave of snow that hit late on Monday afternoon and Monday evening. The official report notes 5 inches at mid-mountain and 6 inches at the summit, and nearly all of this snow fell after lifts closed on Monday, so it’ll be untracked and waiting for you on Tuesday morning. Enjoy! Expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 20s during the day.

This week

A large storm far west of the west coast is going to stay too far away from Colorado to bring any snow, so we should stay dry through most of the week with comfortable temperatures in the 20s and 30s along with plenty of sunshine and also high clouds filtering the sunshine at times.

Next storm

I’ll start by staying that I have low confidence in the forecast because the overall weather pattern is not going to be favorable for strong storms to hit Colorado and we’ll need to rely on luck to get bits and pieces of storm energy and moisture to make it into our state.

It’s possible we could see light snow later on January 11th, again around January 14-15, and maybe another time or two later next week.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
