Update

Saturday was sunny with a high temperature in the upper 20s.

Sunday will also be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the upper 20s to low 30s. I thought that more clouds would arrive on Sunday, though the next storm has slowed a bit so skies should stay mostly clear for more of the day.

Monday should start dry and then we could see light snow by midday or afternoon.

Monday night into Tuesday morning is when we’ll see the most intense snow. The storm will track over northern and central Colorado and should produce a burst of intense snow on Monday night. Then the wind direction could swing around to blow from the north or northeast on Tuesday morning, and this could limit accumulations during the day on Tuesday.

I still think 5-10 inches is a reasonable snow forecast range, and with the most snow falling on Monday night, Tuesday morning should offer fun powder on the limited open terrain.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the second storm of the week will stay far to the southwest of Colorado. Look for clouds and maybe light precipitation during these days, with an outside chance for an intense band of snow.

Friday and Saturday is when this second storm should move over Colorado and these are the days that have the best odds for significant snow.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
