Snow began to fall on Tuesday with a coating to an inch of accumulation during the day. On Tuesday night, an additional 2-4 inches accumulated. Thanks to this fresh snow, you’ll find softer turns on Wednesday morning. Temperatures were warm during this initial wave of snow on Tuesday and Tuesday night, so the quality of the new snow on Wednesday morning will likely be thicker and dense, which can nicely cover the harder non-powder surface below the new snow.

On Wednesday, expect light-to-moderate snow to continue through the day and into the early evening with an additional 3-6 inches of accumulation. Temperatures will cool slightly which means that this new snow should become a bit lighter and fluffier.

Wednesday later at night should offer a break in the snow.

Then on Thursday, flakes should return and we will see a few inches of additional accumulation through Thursday night.

Friday will once again offer a break in the snow.

Then on Friday night into Saturday, snow showers will return with another few inches of accumulation.

Thanks to this off-and-on snow over the next few days, conditions should stay soft and fun even though no single day may be a deep powder day.

Sunday will be dry and at least partly sunny. I love snow but I always welcome a day with calm weather and some sunshine, too.

Then we’ll get back into a stormy pattern next week with at least light snow possible from Monday, January 27th through most of the rest of the week.

Looking far ahead, the weekend of February 1-2 should be dry, then another storm should arrive around Monday or Tuesday, February 3-4.
