Steamboat Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 5 years ago February 17, 2020
Update
On Sunday we saw about 3-4 inches of thick, dense snow during the day. This was less snow than I expected.
On Sunday night, we saw about 10 inches of fluffier snow as temperatures dropped, and this was on the high-end of our expectations.
Monday morning’s powder should be quite fun with (what looks like) fluffier snow on top of a dense, soft base. Enjoy it!
On Monday, we might see a few more inches of snow in the morning, then snow should turn off by the afternoon. On Monday night into Tuesday morning, we might see a few more flakes with light accumulations.
Wednesday through Saturday should be dry, then a chance for snow will return starting on Saturday night or Sunday with snow possibly continuing for many days the following week. Also, I took a peek ahead at the long-range forecast into early March and most models show a good chance for storms to continue to track near or over Colorado. This is all very good news!
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
