Steamboat Daily Snow

Next snow at Steamboat on Tuesday
Summary
Look for dry weather on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with light snow on Tuesday and cool temperatures through the middle of the week.
Short Term Forecast
Opening Day is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1st.
Friday was a gorgeous day with perfect blue skies and temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s.
For Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, expect continued dry weather a lot of sunshine. High temperatures each day will be in the upper 20s to low 30s with overnight lows cold enough for snowmaking.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, a storm with cold air but very limited moisture should bring more clouds and light snow. If the storm stays too far to the east, we could see just a few flakes and light accumulations. If the storm moves a bit farther west, we could see a few inches of fluffy snow. Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday should be in the upper teens to low 20s.
Extended Forecast
From Thursday, December 3 through about Thursday, December 10, the forecast is for dry and warming weather with highs in the 30s to potentially low 40s. Thanks to the low sun angle in early December, we should be able to keep our high-elevation snow even during this stretch of dry weather.
Aside from the low odds of a rogue storm tracking into Colorado during the December 3-10 time period, our next chance for snow will be around December 11-13. This is still two weeks away and the chance for snow is only shown by one model, but I’ll hang onto this hope for now.
