Steamboat Daily Snow

Snow Wednesday through Sunday at Steamboat
Summary
Multiple storms will deliver powder days this week and this weekend.
Short Term Forecast
Sunday was a picture-perfect sunny day with high temperatures rising to the upper 20s to mid-30s.
Monday will bring more clouds and temperatures will remain warm with highs in the 30s.
Tuesday will bring more sunshine and temperatures could be warmer with a high in the 30s to potentially 40s.
Then snowfall will return on Wednesday, becoming steadier as the day goes on. Temperatures on Wednesday will remain warm, so expect thicker snow during the day. On Wednesday night, cooler air will return and the wind direction will swing around to blow from a more favorable west or northwest direction and this will keep the snowflakes falling and will change the snow quality to be lighter and fluffier. Total snowfall on Wednesday and Wednesday night should be 5-10 inches with powder likely on Thursday.
From later Thursday through Thursday night, we should see a brief break in the snow.
Then another storm should bring back the flakes with significant accumulations from Friday through Saturday and potentially lasting into Sunday. Total snowfall during this time period could be in the double digits and the snow quality could get better each day.
Extended Forecast
There could be a break in the snow sometime on Sunday, February 7. Then another storm could arrive early during the week of February 8-12. Let’s hope the storm train continues heading in our direction.
