Steamboat Daily Snow

Soft turns on Thursday
Summary
Thursday will be a fun day with soft conditions thanks to the snow during the last 12-24 hours.
Update
We went into Wednesday's storm looking for 2-8 inches and we came out on the higher end of the range with 4 inches falling during the day and another 1-4 inches falling on Wednesday night for a total of 5-8 inches across the mountain.
The snow on Wednesday softened the slopes, and then I was surprised to see another 4 inches accumulate at the summit on Wednesday night, which means that Thursday morning will offer softer conditions than I was expecting.
During the day on Thursday, we'll see a mix of dry weather, maybe some breaks of sunshine, and some snow showers. High temperatures should be in the 20s.
On Friday and Saturday, expect dry weather with highs in the 20s on Friday, and warmer temperatures rising into the 30s on Saturday.
On Sunday, we'll see dry weather for most of the day with highs in the 30s, then a storm will bring a chance for snow from Sunday night through Tuesday. The latest forecast data shows that this storm will track a bit too far to the south and east to bring us bigtime snow, but we could at least see snow showers for 24-48 hours and this might lead to a refresh and softer conditions sometime on Monday and/or Tuesday.
After that, we'll likely have dry weather from about March 23-27, with another storm arriving sometime between about March 28-31.
