Fresh snow on Saturday morning

Summary

Snow fell on Friday and Friday night which means there will be fresh turns now on Saturday morning.

Update

The latest storm delivered 4 inches of snow on Friday and another 5 inches on Friday night for a mid-mountain storm total of 9 inches (with double digits at the summit).

Now just before sunrise on Saturday morning, the snow has mostly ended. Get out for first chair to enjoy fun turns, and then we may see some breaks of sunshine during the rest of the day with temperatures rising into the low 20s.

Sunday will be dry and mostly sunny with a high in the 20s.

On Monday and Tuesday, we'll see a mix of some sunshine, some clouds, and maybe some snow showers with little snow accumulation.

On Wednesday, a stronger storm will bring snow, and the snow could last through Wednesday evening. My initial estimate is that snowfall will be in the 4-8 inch range with possible powder either later on Wednesday or early on Thursday.

After that, Thursday, January 12 through Sunday, January 15 should be dry, then a stormy weather pattern should set up over the western U.S. between about January 16-21.
