Monday morning freshies
Summary
Snow fell on Sunday night and there will be soft conditions now on Monday morning.
Update
Sunday was sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s.
Then on Sunday night into Monday morning, snow arrived as expected. The summit snow stake shows 8 inches of accumulation and the mid-mountain snow stake cam is not visible though my estimate is about 6 inches.
This new snow will be fresh when the lifts start spinning on Monday morning. For the rest of Monday, we'll see temperatures in the teens with continued snow showers and likely 1-3 inches of additional snowfall.
From late Monday night through Wednesday midday, our weather should be dry with a high temperature of around 20°F on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
From Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night, another fast-moving storm will bring 4-7 inches of snow with some snow falling on Wednesday afternoon and some snow falling after lifts close on Wednesday evening. This means that Thursday morning should be similar to Monday morning with soft snow and fresh turns. Thursday will be a cold day with a high temperature in the single digits.
Then for Friday and Saturday, temperatures will warm into the 20s to 30s and we should see dry weather and sunshine on both days, and on Sunday, we might see more clouds and a few snow showers.
Looking ahead to next week, on Monday and Tuesday, a storm will track to the south of Colorado and we will likely stay dry, then on Wednesday and Thursday, a storm will track near or over Colorado and these days will offer the highest chance for snow.
