Possible powder on Sunday

Summary

Tuesday through Saturday will be mostly dry, and then a storm will bring snow from Saturday night through Sunday.

Update

We now have about 75% of trails open, and we need more snow to soften conditions and open more terrain.

For this week, Tuesday through Saturday will be mostly dry, and we might see a few snow showers at some point on Wednesday, Wednesday night, and/or Thursday.

For temperatures, mornings will likely bring inversions with colder temperatures at the base and warmer readings up on the mountain. Highs each day should range from in the upper 20s to the upper 30s.

For sunshine, most of the week will bring some clouds, though we might sneak in more sunshine early on Friday.

Our next chance for snow will be when two storms combine and strengthen just east of Colorado. Expect snow to begin on Saturday night and continue through Sunday. Sunday has the best chance of offering the softest snow, and my early estimate is in the 4-9 inch range. Snow quality should be pretty fluffy due to cooling temperatures on Sunday, though this could set up a 'fluff on firm' situation, which is not ideal, but we'll take what we can get!

After that, we'll likely see a few dry days following Christmas, and then another storm might arrive closer to the New Year, plus or minus a few days.
