One last day of sunny weather, then multiple chances for snow

Summary

Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures. Then we'll see snowflakes for many of the next 7-10 days.

Update

Tuesday was a gorgeous day with sunny skies and temperatures in the 20s. And this has led to yet another star-filled clear-sky night on Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be the final sunny and warmer day for a while, and high temperatures will be in the 20s.

Thursday will be cloudier yet likely dry with high temperatures in the 20s.

Thursday night to Saturday will then deliver multiple rounds of light snowfall. Accumulations are likely to be just a few inches, but even that could soften conditions just a bit. Also, with a decent amount of moisture in the air, accumulations could be a little higher than expected. High temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the teens.

Sunday will be a transition day as the next storm moves into Colorado yet we might not see much snow just yet. Temperatures will be in the teens.

Sunday night to Monday could bring a little more snow, though the storm's track will be well to the south of Colorado, and this usually does not result in much snow for us. Temperatures on Monday will be chilly with highs in the upper single digits to low teens.

Tuesday into Wednesday (January 9-10) will likely bring a mix of sunshine and snow showers with temperatures still in the teens.

Wednesday into Thursday (January 10-11) will likely bring another storm into Colorado, possible powder, and temperatures in the single digits.

In the longer range, additional storms are possible through at least mid-January, and I am hopeful that the consistency of the colder air and snowfall will deepen our snowpack and lead to softer conditions.
