Multiple storms on the way, maybe freshies on Saturday morning

Summary

Our next chance for real snowfall will be from Friday morning to Saturday morning with potential soft or low-end powder conditions on Saturday.

Update

On Wednesday night into Thursday morning, a storm far to the south of Colorado pushed clouds and a few snowflakes over the mountain, but there was no meaningful accumulation.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the 20s. We could see a few snowflakes here or there.

Thursday night to Saturday will then deliver multiple rounds of light snowfall. Accumulations are likely to be 3-8 inches and this could soften conditions. Also, with a decent amount of moisture in the air, accumulations could be a little higher than expected. High temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the teens.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with perhaps some light snow, especially during the afternoon, as the next storm moves into Colorado. Temperatures will be in the teens.

Sunday night to Monday could bring a little more snow, though the storm's track will be well to the south of Colorado, and this usually does not result in much snow for us. Temperatures on Monday will be chilly with highs in the upper single digits to low teens.

Tuesday (January 9) will likely be a drier day as we'll be in between storms. Temperatures will still be in the teens.

Tuesday night to Thursday (January 9-11) will be the timing of our next storm, and we might see significant snowfall with powder possible on Wednesday and/or Thursday. Temperatures will be in the single digits.

In the longer range, we may see another storm sometime between Friday, January 12, and Sunday, January 14, and temperatures could stay cold during this time.

Regardless of exactly how each storm plays out, multiple storms in one week should flip conditions from firm to soft and create multiple opportunities to ride powder. Good news!
