Dry on Saturday, light snow on Sunday

Summary

Friday night's snow will be untouched on Saturday morning, and then our next chance for (light) snow will be on Sunday and Sunday evening.

Update

Friday & Friday Night

On Friday, light snow fell throughout the day with 1-2 inches of accumulation, and then on Friday night, a short period of intense snow dropped 3-4 inches on the mountain.

Saturday

Saturday morning will offer untouched snow on top of soft snow from the past two days, so conditions should be pretty fun. Morning clouds will transition to sunshine by the late morning or midday, and temperatures will rise from the single digits in the morning to the teens in the afternoon.

Sunday

Our next chance for snow will be from Sunday afternoon to Sunday night as a weak storm moves across Colorado. Accumulations should be light, just 1-3 inches, and maybe we'll have a bit of a refresh either late on Sunday or early on Monday. Sunday's high temperature will be in the 20s.

Monday & Tuesday

For Monday and Tuesday, I have low confidence in the forecast. I think both days will be mostly dry, though more clouds and a few showers could be around. High temperatures on both days will be close to 30°F.

Wednesday & Thursday

I also have low confidence in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Waves of storm energy should track across Colorado and this will likely deliver more snow. If everything comes together perfectly, maybe we'll have some powder on Thursday and/or Friday morning, but I will wait a few more days before talking about the details of snowfall amounts and timing. The high temperature on Wednesday will be close to 30°F and Thursday will be a little cooler with a high in the 20s.

Longer Range

I still have no idea what will happen during the weekend of February 24-25, and then I have decently high confidence that a stormy pattern will set up over the Rockies during the final week of the month (February 26 - March 2). Hopefully, this stormy pattern will bring multiple days of snow to us here in Colorado.

My next update will be Sunday morning.
