Thursday

Thursday was a mixed day with mostly dry weather and some snow showers. Then on Thursday night, a fast-moving storm dropped about 3 inches of snow across the mountain.

Friday

Friday morning will be fun with the 3 inches of new snow on top of 5 inches from the previous two days.

Most of Friday will be on the drier side with partly cloudy skies, maybe some snow showers, and a high temperature in the 20s.

From Friday afternoon to Friday night, the next fast-moving storm will bring 3-6+ inches of snow. The combination of the jet stream overhead and favorable temperatures for snowflake formation means that there will be a decent chance for us to wind up at or above the high end of the forecast range.

Saturday

Saturday with start with soft/powder conditions due to the new snow from Friday night, and the weather on Saturday should transition from cloudy to sunny with a high temperature in the upper teens to low 20s.

Longer Range

Our next chances for snow will be from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning, and then again from Wednesday to Thursday (February 21-22). While I have low confidence in the forecast for both of these storms, the latest forecast models show a decent chance for at least a few inches of snow from each system with a possible refresh on Monday morning and Thursday morning.

After that, I have no idea what will happen during the weekend of February 24-25, and then I have decently high confidence that a stormy pattern will set up over the Rockies during the final week of the month (February 26 - March 2). Hopefully, this stormy pattern will bring multiple days of snow to us here in Colorado.
