Monday

Monday morning is starting with clear skies and strong winds with summit gusts reaching 40+ mph.

Previously, I thought that we would see some accumulating snow on Monday, and now it appears that our chance for accumulating snow is low, and most of the day will be partly cloudy, dry, and windy with summit gusts of 40+ mph. 

Monday's temperature will be around 30°F.

Tuesday

We will see intense snow on Tuesday from just before sunrise through late morning. This snow will be associated with strong winds, which should slow somewhat by midday.

While the latest snow forecasts have decreased a bit, I still expect 6-12+ inches of snow on Tuesday morning and midday, and a lot of this will fall after the 5 am snow report. The snow quality will transition from thicker (due to warmer temperatures and strong winds) to fluffier throughout the morning.

On Tuesday afternoon, the steady snow will transition to scattered snow showers and we should see additional accumulation through the evening. While most forecast models show just a few inches due to decreasing moisture, the wind direction and temperature will be reasonably favorable for a potential upside surprise.

Tuesday's temperature will start in the teens and drop into the single digits during the afternoon.

Wednesday

Wednesday morning should feature leftover powder with some softness from any snow that falls on Tuesday evening. Also, if any terrain does not open on Tuesday due to the strong winds, this terrain will be untracked on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday's skies will be sunny, and temperatures will be close to 0°F in the morning with rapid warming into the teens by midday.

Longer Range

From Wednesday, February 28 to Saturday, March 2, we will have dry weather with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures of around 30°F.

The next storm should bring snow from Sunday, March 3 to Monday, March 4, and I think that the best chance for powder will be later on Sunday and/or early on Monday.

After that, we could see another storm around Friday, March 8 to Sunday, March 10.
