Monday Recap
Monday was partly to mostly cloudy with a high temperature in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Tuesday (Mar 18)
On Tuesday just before sunrise, skies are partly cloudy with no snow falling.
Snow showers should begin between late morning and early afternoon, and there could be 3-5 inches of snow by the last chair. The temperature will be in the 20s.
On Tuesday night, the storm will continue. If the wind direction is from the northwest, this would not be ideal and additional snowfall will likely be limited to 2-4 inches. If the wind direction is more from the west or west-northwest (as some models show), snowfall could be higher, especially since the temperature will be close to ideal.
Wednesday (Mar 19)
Wednesday morning should offer fun conditions with 4-10 inches of total snowfall from Tuesday midday through Wednesday morning (and a higher amount at the summit if the various factors align on Tuesday night). With clouds and snow showers sticking around, and the high temperature in the teens, the snow quality should stay good for most of the day.
Thursday (Mar 20)
Thursday should be dry, partly sunny, and warmer with a high temperature in the upper 20s.
Friday (Mar 21)
A fast-moving storm on Thursday night will deliver 1-4 inches of snow by Friday mid-morning. This should create a fun low-end powder morning, and the temperature on Friday should be in the 20s.
Saturday & Sunday (Mar 22-23)
On Saturday and Sunday, there will likely be mostly cloudy weather with snowflakes in the air.
I continue to have low confidence in the details of the forecast, and my best estimate is for 2-4 inches of snow on Saturday, and another 2-4 inches of snow from Saturday night through Sunday midday.
Monday & Tuesday (Mar 24-25)
On Monday and Tuesday, storm energy will track just to the north of Colorado, and this should create mostly cloudy skies with times of snow showers.
Wednesday to Friday (Mar 26-28)
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect mostly sunny and warm weather with high temperatures in the 40s. It'll feel like spring.
Saturday to Monday (Mar 29-31)
Most of the longer-range models show a decent chance that the next storm will track into Colorado during the final few days of March, but this is still 12-15 days into the future, so I have low confidence in the details of the forecast.
