Tuesday Recap
On Tuesday, the storm arrived around midday, and by the last chair, 6 inches of snow accumulated at mid-mountain with 10 inches at the summit.
On Tuesday night, the snow showers wound down, with about another 1 inch of accumulation.
Wednesday (Mar 19)
Wednesday morning will offer soft conditions due to the snow that fell on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
During the day, snow showers will likely continue with 1-3 inches of accumulation, and temperatures will stay in the upper teens to low 20s. This will keep the snow surface soft.
Thursday (Mar 20)
Thursday should be dry, partly sunny, and warmer with a high temperature in the upper 20s.
Friday (Mar 21)
The fast-moving storm we were eying on Thursday night has weakened in all model forecasts, so I expect just a coating to 2 inches of new snow by Friday morning. Friday's weather will be partly sunny with a high temperature in the upper 20s.
Saturday & Sunday (Mar 22-23)
From Friday evening through Sunday morning, a warming storm will likely bring 3-6 inches of snow.
These warming storms can sometimes deliver less snow than is forecast, so my expectations are on the low side.
If there is snow, Saturday's conditions could become softer during the day, with likely the softest conditions on Sunday morning.
High temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday should be around 30°F.
Monday (Mar 24)
On Monday, storm energy will track just to the north of Colorado, and this should create partly to mostly cloudy skies. The high temperature should be in the mid-to-upper 30s.
Tuesday (Mar 25)
On Tuesday, morning clouds should dissipate, and the rest of the day will likely be sunny and warm with a high temperature in the low 40s.
Wednesday to Friday (Mar 26-28)
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect mostly sunny and warm weather with high temperatures in the mid-40s to low 50s. It'll feel like spring.
Saturday to Monday (Mar 29-31)
Most of the longer-range models show a high chance that the next storm will track into Colorado during the final few days of March, and I think snow is likely from later Saturday through Sunday (March 29-30).
