Steamboat Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 9 years ago April 2, 2016
There are two more weekends to go before the mountain closes for the season, and the slopes are in great shape. The base is solid thanks to well above average snow in March, and for this weekend, temperatures will top out in the 40s with plenty of sunshine. Enjoy this gorgeous weather, and don’t forget to apply sunscreen and drink plenty of water!
Our next chance for snow will occur on Monday night and Tuesday with a likely 2-4 or 3-6 inches. This storm will be a bit too weak and warm to create a deep powder day, but the snow should put a nice refresh on the slopes for Tuesday. The rest of next week should be dry, then another storm should bring clouds and the chance for snow during closing weekend. Stay tuned for more details on that storm as the time gets closer.
