Steamboat Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 9 years ago April 6, 2016
About 3-4 inches of snow fell during the day on Tuesday, and now the skies are clear on Wednesday morning and the sun should shine for most of today as well as Thursday. Temperatures will rise into the 30s and low-to-mid 40s both days, so this will be spring skiing at its finest. Have a great time on the hill.
Clouds will increase throughout the day on Friday, and then there will likely be a mix some sun, lots of clouds, and light showers around for most of closing weekend. Temperatures will continue to be warm on Saturday and Sunday, so while these showers should fall in the form of snow at the summit, rain drops might be felt at the base. I don’t think the precipitation will fall steadily during the weekend, though, so even if there are a few rain drops, the weather should not ruin closing-weekend festivities.
