Update

The good news is that we will see three storms during the next 7-8 days. The first storm will bring snow from Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning, the second storm should bring snow from Thursday night through Saturday, and the third storm will likely bring snow next Monday and Tuesday.

The not-so-perfect news is that the first two storms will track to the south of Colorado, and this is usually not a storm track that brings significant snow to Steamboat. As such, the snow forecast shows the chance for a few inches during each period on Monday night, Tuesday, and Tuesday night, and again each day and night between Thursday and Saturday.

A few inches each day and night can add up to softer conditions, though I am not sure any of these storms will produce big snow totals. Temperatures should be cold enough for snow to accumulate at and above mid-mountain, though there may be rain drops at the base. Sometimes spring storms are as cold as mid-winter storms, but that is not the trend this spring.

As a recap, expect snow showers to start Monday night and let’s hope for a few inches by Tuesday.
