Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

On Tuesday, a storm will track over New Mexico, and while this is close enough to bring snow to Colorado in general and Steamboat in particular, it’s usually not the most favorable storm track for heavy snow at Steamboat.

Because of this non-ideal storm track, I lowered snow amounts to 1-3 inches on Tuesday with another 1-3 inches on Tuesday night. As you might notice when you step outside, the temperature is warm on Tuesday morning with the freezing level between the base and mid-mountain. The temperature should hold steady during Tuesday and then drop on Tuesday night.

Following this storm, Wednesday and Thursday will be dry, then our next storm will again take a southern track on Friday and Saturday. We should see some flakes later this week and into the weekend, but with a non-ideal storm track, snow amounts should be low.

There is a chance for a colder storm to track over northern Colorado between April 3-5.
