Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
***The mountain will open for Scholarship Day on Wednesday, November 22nd (passes are not valid, all proceeds from the day's ticket benefit the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Scholarship Fund). The first day that you can use a season's pass or multi-day pass will be Thursday, November 23rd.***
Steamboat received 3 inches of snow late Monday night through mid-morning on Tuesday, and this is just in time for Scholarship Day on Wednesday. I hope that you enjoy the first turns of the season!
The weather for the rest of this week and weekend will be partly sunny and dry as a large area of high pressure deflects most storms well to our north. Temperatures at night should be cold enough for some snowmaking, but we will likely not see additional natural snow through early next week.
Looking ahead to the middle of next week, there will be a chance for snow on Tuesday into Wednesday, and temperatures should begin a cooling trend during this time. As we head into early December, the weather pattern in the western US will become more active, though it's too soon to know if this will translate into more snow specifically at Steamboat. I have my fingers and toes crossed! Check back for my next update on Thursday morning as I'll be keeping a close eye on the possible pattern change ahead...
