Update

It's Thanksgiving Day and the mountain is now open. Enjoy your first turns of the season!

The current weather pattern is pushing most of the moisture and storms to the north of Colorado, however, some of this moisture is sneaking south, hanging over northern Colorado, and that is why there is a persistent layer of clouds over Steamboat. I do think we'll see more sunshine on Thursday compared to Wednesday, though, so keep that sunblock handy.

On Friday, we may have a few more clouds return with perhaps a flurry, and then Saturday, Sunday, and Monday should be warmer and drier with (hopefully) more sunshine.

Our next chance for natural snow will be on Tuesday, November 28th, then we might see a stormy pattern develop sometime between December 2-4. Stay tuned and happy Thanksgiving!
